I think quality is the same. ... I had a pair of ultra glide 2s fail at the seams with its glue on one shoe a month in. They gave me a credit and I bought another pair and have had zero issues 150 miles in on them now. For me at least quality can be random.

Salomon has been trendy for about five years now, and has been fully mainstream post-pandemic. There are a couple of factors that led to the rise of Salomon. There's the rise of Gorpcore which has been mentioned here, but there's also techwear as well.

Definitely narrow but for xt6s I actually size down half a size because of the large toe box.

Quality dropped dramatically across most models once they leant into their fashion hype. Dead brand now imo

they make lifestyle stuff now which are a bit cheaper but much worse quality compared to traditional salomon stuff.

The XT-6 is notoriously narrow at the toes. It sounds like you just need to try a different shoe.

Recently bought Salomon XT 6 shoes, picked size 45 1/3 EU / 11 US - same I go with Adidas or New balance. But after 3 times wearing them they seem really tight on toes, my feet actually started to hurt after and hour wearing them, and even after taking them off.
