I was a bit skeptical about the hype, but when I saw the Pearl Cloud 5 I decided to give them a try. So very happy that I did these are truly so very comfortable! I found them to be true to size. My foot is on the narrow side so I tend to be picky about fit.

The On Cloudsurfer Max is aimed more at casual users than serious runners. In our testing, the ride felt firm, sluggish, and lacking in energy return, far away from what we expect from a shoe at this price.

The On Cloud 6 introduces very minimal updates to the Cloud 5, resulting in a nearly identical shoe, but with a notably higher price tag. And as much as we enjoyed its airy feel and minimal appeal, we found that the shoe lacks proper support and cushioning for walking and standing all day long.

The upper feels overly spacious, especially through the toebox, and the sizing can run long even for those familiar with On's inconsistencies. It's heavy, too, and that weight starts to matter once the run gets long.
