I've been eyeing Self-Portrait's collections for quite a while now — and yes, the price tag is definitely on the higher side. BUT… they had a sale, so I finally decided to give it a try and ordered two dresses. Let me just say… I was not ready for how good the quality would be. The dresses are absolutely stunning — they look exactly like the photos (which, let's be honest, is rare with a lot of brands ).

In the bust no, it's not consistent from dress to dress. I find this brand runs smaller at the top so take that into account. Quality is on point though, love Self-Portrait.

From the flattering scoop neck to metallic threading to beaded embellishment, this dress is 10/10. While some of the cutout dresses in the market can be sexy, this one from Self-Portrait is just perfect. It's a perfect blend of cute, elegance, and sassiness and you have no problem wearing this dress alone.

I'd say UK 6 is a little tight for me because the waistband from this brand is not stretchable at all. Luckily, this is a tiered dress so even if I feel tight in the mid-section area, the peplum just camouflages it completely! But still, I'd recommend sizing up for the dresses that come with the waistband design.

Designer is Malaysian Chinese copying Korean and Japanese styles and flavour that's why it seems exotic to the West. It really is nothing special and some of their clothing are made in China. They are severely overpriced IMO. Quality is ok but na it isn't worth the price tag. In Asia we call it “fooling the west”

This designer does such an amazing job at playing with the silhouette of the dress to flatter your figure. The dress has a stiff lace top and it's the only time I ever fit in a size 8, size up because it gives no stretch.

I feel the brand has really blown up in the last few years. I have mixed feelings about their products. At first, I loved them. I own three of their dresses and while the design is absolutely beautiful, but I don't think the quality is great. The fabrics are thick and lined but they are still synthetic ($500 for a polyester dress?).

I've always found Self-Portrait dress sizing spot on and the quality and craftmanship so well done. If you've visited this site before you know my aesthetic and personal fashion preference is very feminine and glam. I'd always rather be over dressed than under dressed which is why I pretty much want everything in each and every one of their collections.
