About the brand

The Upside is an Australian luxury activewear brand founded in 2014 by Jodhi Meares, a yoga enthusiast and former model who identified a gap in the market for fashion-forward athletic wear. Born from Meares' extensive experience in fashion and her desire to create activewear that didn't compromise on style, The Upside quickly gained a cult following for its sophisticated approach to athleisure. The brand is renowned for its luxurious materials, refined prints, and meticulous attention to detail, creating pieces that seamlessly transition from workout to everyday wear. With its philosophy centered on making a healthy lifestyle attainable through stylish functionality, The Upside caters to time-savvy individuals who lead demanding lives but refuse to sacrifice style for performance. The brand has earned its place as one of the top activewear labels globally, gracing the pages of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar while being worn by celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Yes, it's high quality and looks great but we also love that their stuff is made with sustainability in mind, using organic cotton and recycled materials.

Perfect. Nice thick legging, not transparent at all. Firm fit, not super stretchy but still felt comfortable. Purchased the small, I'm usually in between a size S & M. Excellent Quality.

Another great luxury sportswear brand that strives to create collections which look just as good outside as they do inside the gym is The Upside. The Aussie brand has designs specialised for yoga training, running and resistance classes, but puts a stylish spin on everything it creates, from animal prints and tie-dye to great fits.

I love these leggings! The drawstring waist and the colors and the fit are wonderful. I am 5'2'', 110 lbs and the XS is just right. I love the original look of these leggings.

I love the colour and the good quality, thick fabric. An ideal length - I'm 163cm tall and the pant finishes just above my ankles. I bought a size M as per the size guide, but wish I'd sized up to an L (I'm a size 12 usually). The "waist" part sits just above my hips (probably due to my butt) which is not as high as I'd like and I'm hitching them up when I run.

In general: The Upside runs true to size, but some fitted pieces (like leggings and bras) run slightly small, especially for curvier body types or those in-between sizes.

Good On You

The Upside's environment rating is 'not good enough'. It uses some eco-friendly materials including recycled materials. There is no evidence it reduces its carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions... Its labour rating is 'very poor'.

The fabric is very lightweight. The fabric is similar to K-Deer in that it easily scratches and turns fuzzy against rough surfaces. I would not place the leggings near velcro or sit on cement, bricks or rocks. Their website states that the fabric is abrasion resistant, but I believe otherwise.

These are cute but showed up with frays at the seams. And the fabric feels like this won't last long. The quality does not match the price. Will return.
