Initially, I was a little concerned about the thinner pants, but to my surprise, they kept my legs nice and toasty in single-digit weather. The pants offer four-way stretch, a water-repellant exterior, and a thermal fleece interior, all coming together to offer protection against the elements (though I would prefer the pants to be waterproof in all honesty).

I don't mind spending a lot of money for good gear and I do appreciate style, but I want my ski stuff to work. Anyone have experience with these brands? Are the jackets comfortable, durable, stuff that seems like it was designed by people that have actually gone skiing?

Can confirm re perfect moment. Skied on a pow day in Beaver Creek a few years ago and saw another lady SOAKING WET in her perfect moment one piece.

Rule of thumb: technical gear for cold/wet days. Fashion gear for warm days and apres. Halfdays appears to be fine, but I wouldn't trust Perfect Moment to be water resistant at all.
