I suppose what Holstein did do was to create easy, uncomplicated clothes that with her marketing and campaigns gave the illusion of cool — thus, making the brand cool itself. Then, when you, or I, wear her $800 jeans, we feel like we're part of the cool club.

I'm sure the Khaite ones, like basically all modern jeans, have some stretch and won't be all that durable and thus not worth the money. They don't have any unique look - the rises, colors, washes, and styles are the same as every other jeans.

The leather was okay, but the stitching was SO uneven. (Perhaps I'm being picky, but at this price point, I would expect the seams to be even.) I was also sad that the bag didn't hold its shape at all...it literally melted onto the table when I put it down.

I just bought a small augustina, and the zipper pull came off on my first try zipping it up! It also just came in a dust bag, not a box...It just wasn't worth it to me after zipper and the so/so quality of leather, so I returned it.
