Agua Bendita was founded in 2003 by best friends Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza in Medellín, Colombia, who merged their passions for fashion and design to create their dream brand. Starting with nothing more than Catalina's grandmother's sewing machine and leftover fabrics from a local clothing factory, they began handcrafting swimsuits for friends and family, laying the foundation for what would become a global fashion phenomenon. Today, Agua Bendita has evolved into a leading Colombian brand with thirty stores nationwide and a presence in over fifty countries worldwide. The brand works with more than 500 local artisans who use techniques passed down through generations, creating intricate designs with exquisite embroidery and hand-illustrated features. Known for capturing the vibrant essence of Latin America through sustainable practices, Agua Bendita operates two distinct brands: the original swimwear line and the luxury Agua by Agua Bendita collection launched in 2018.

How does Agua Bendita fit? True to size: if you're a size 8-10: I would recommend a large. I tried an extra large to see if the brand did run small but it doesn't – so that's good news!

I only wear one-piece bathing suits. I wanted something fun this time. After reading the first review and how much she loved it, I decided to get this too. I got my regular size small. It's very beautiful. The strap in the back can be adjusted. It's super sexy and the colors are stunning. There's a little beading blended in at the top. This is revealing too. Sides and front. I feel glamorous when I wear this!!!!!

This dress has very bright colors and the material is good. I returned because runs a little small on the chest area. I'm 32-b on bras and my breast fits perfect but is too tight on the upper part unless you are super skinny.

The fabrics for the dresses don't have any stretch – so consider that when shopping for them. They are fitted and don't leave room for anything extra: so if you know how your body would fit into a silhouette or fabric like that: size accordingly!

I'm usually an extra small in dresses and I ordered a small in this dress because I saw reviews that it runs small. I couldn't even get the small to zip by a large margin so order up! Beautiful dress though!
