Founded in 2009 by Polish-born designer Marysia Dobrzanska Reeves, MARYSIA emerged from the unique intersection of ballet and surfing. As a former ballerina and longtime surfer who spent her life in leotards and wetsuits, Reeves translated these foundational garments into a fresh, modern swimwear and resort wear collection. After studying at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles and interning with Milly in New York, she launched her namesake brand from Charleston, South Carolina. The chic maillot's original fit is lengthened, while the halter tie-neck allows for an adjustable fit, so you can bid adieu to tugging or pulling down below. Look closely for the front boning, which not only lends structure but subtly traces your curves to create a contoured shape.

I wish that they had more supportive options for larger chested women. I like the strapless designs but are not the most supportive or flattering if you do not have a small cup size.

The suits aren't worth the price (and snag easily, and good luck trying to return anything), but the real rip-off is their customer service. If you absolutely must have one of these suits (I don't recommend them, even J Crew is better quality), then absolutely do not buy through their website.

I purchased the Iga Dress in Black in size 12 for $449... the largest size, but I returned the item immediately via the online return process because the dress was too short, not flattering, and ran small in size. I did not notice that Marysia's return policy offered "credit only" and not a refund. I was very surprised and profoundly disappointed because most companies offer returns with full refunds.

Bought a dress. It's poor in quality. Wanted to return, it has all taggs on. Shop claims that it's not returnable, because it's on sale. Sale is not visible, neither on shop or on any taggs on the dress ? Absolutely not okay. Customer service is rude and not replying to my statements. Just copy pastes answers. This is absolutely fraud.

I have a couple of tank-style suits from Marysia which I like, but this style did not work. The strapless side of the suit slips down; it does not seem to be cut high enough on that side for comfortable coverage.
