LoQ is a cult footwear and lifestyle brand founded in 2015 by Keren Longkumer and Valerie Quant, who met while studying footwear design. They have wonderful insole padding and they feel like a luxury shoe. In fact, they feel as quality as a pair of Jimmy Choos (actually they feel better than the Jimmy Choos I once had). Their prices, reflecting the quality, isn't cheap.

Yes, like the other reviews state - they are extremely tight around the ankle and the zipper is tough when you first wear them... But after 2-3 wears, they do get softer and are no longer suffocating the ankle. They do run very small and are very narrow.

As for sizing, I'm wearing a 38 here and because it's a mule, I find the sizing to be quite forgiving if a tad small. If I was ordering a pump or a shoe other than an open-backed mule I might try sizing up to 39 (they don't come in half sizes).

As previously noted, the ankle shaft is very narrow/tight. The zipper is also "rough" to pull up! They are super cute but the pair I received had a defect in the glaze on the leather of one of the boots! I was shocked considering the hefty price!

The real disappointment was the fact that a) the zipper was virtually impossible to zip up and b) the shoe is too narrow in the shaft to walk without serious rubbing against my ankles.
