Does the lightweight nature of the shoes detract from the quality, comfort and durability ? Absolutely not. These are great for an afternoon walking around the city, as well as a summer's day walk - like other styles of Havaianas, they're super soft and they easily slide on and off and fit like a (foot) glove !

I've been wearing Havaianas faithfully for 15 years; they're the only flip-flops for me! My last two pairs felt loose in the straps, I don't feel as secure in my steps. I really hope the brand reevaluates this.
